The North American Squirrel Association (NASA) sponsors free adaptive kayaking for individuals with physical and neurologic disabilities, visual impairment, and cognitive challenges. A specialized transfer station allows getting in and out of the kayak easy even if you do not have good strength. The adaptive kayaking equipment gives trunk support, grip assistance and a pivot paddle will allow most everyone the ability to enjoy time on the water.

The risk of entering the water is minimal with outriggers, however participants should be comfortable around water and should be able to do a safety back float with a life vest on.

The STAR Association and Set Free 2 Enjoy partner with NASA to provide assistance in running this program.
